The little things in life make a big difference, and that's true in the kitchen, too. Herbs to some people are just an afterthought but they can transform the taste of a dish in an amazing way.

Rosemary is the star of this chicken recipe. My husband said he loved the taste of the chicken but couldn't put his finger on the special ingredient that made it taste so good... yep, that's rosemary my dear.

I have been trying my hand at gardening and herbs were the first thing I started to grow. It took some time to get the soil right but once we did the herbs were simple to grow.

I hate how much they charge in the stores for a small amount of herbs, so growing my own has been a big time and money saver. Rosemary is easier than some of the more fragile herbs, and can be used in a ton of different dishes.

FAQs

Is it better to cover chicken thighs when baking? ›

We don't cover our skin-on chicken thighs because we want that skin to get nice and crispy! To achieve this just follow these 4 simple steps! Place your chicken on top of a metal rack set inside a large rimmed baking sheet. Pat the chicken dry with a paper towel and use kitchen shears to trim off any excess fat.

Is it better to bake skinless chicken thighs at 350 or 400? ›

I recommend baking the chicken thighs at 400 degrees for less time to ensure the chicken thighs stay nice and juicy, vs baking for longer at 350 degrees and running the risk of drying them out.

What does rosemary do to chicken? ›

Not only does rosemary smell great, it also serves as a deodorizer, pain reliever and respiratory support for your chicken. It doesn't stop there, it can also be used as an insect repellent. To get the most out of this herb, you should plant it in and around the chicken coop.

Should you bake chicken covered or uncovered? ›

Larger cuts, such as whole chickens or bone-in pieces, often benefit from covered baking to ensure thorough and even cooking. Smaller cuts, like chicken breasts or tenders, can be baked uncovered for quick results. Lastly, think about the desired texture and flavor you're trying to achieve.
